James and Georgette Diggs are the welcoming hosts of Jazz 424 Lounge. The couple previously owned and operated Play, Bounce, Jump, the much beloved bounce house and play yard venue that entertained Leavenworth families for nearly 10 years.

Now, with 424 Lounge, James’ life long dream of a Jazz Club has come to fruition. The welcoming atmosphere with so many different types of cozy seating is further enhanced by a menu of James’ deliciously prepared favorites.

Music is on the menu as well – featuring many of Leavenworth’s local Jazz musicians and the opportunity for an open mic Karaoke experience.

For the holidays, not only will Christmas Eve be a Karaoke night (closed on Christmas Day) but Earl Baker will return on December 26 at 6 p.m. for an evening of music. There will be no New Year’s Eve event this year but the Diggs are hopeful to continue to introduce more music events in 2021. Back by popular demand beginning on January 7, menu specials of fried fish and chicken wings will be available to order Thursday – Saturday from 5-11 p.m. These dishes are a best-kept secret in Leavenworth by those who have tried them. So, if you want some, call ahead and reserve yours.

The beautiful Jazz 424 Lounge is also available to reserve for special events by calling 913-297-0015. James or Georgette Diggs.
